The Saints could achieve this same mythical result with just about any package they get.

In fact if they mythically wanted to tank for Willams, it would be best suited to get 1.3 from AZ this year, trade back to a team that wants to grab a QB this year (which is the Saints, but let's play along), and still retain a 1st RD pick this year and add one for next year.

And went straight to a big market with Riley because that's what he wanted.

He wanted to play for Riley. He would have gone where Riley went.

What’s rare is a franchise QB leaving a team that really wants to keep him.

You just don’t see it until they’re like 39 desperately trying to get a ring.

With Payton
Chargers- likely be good next year
Broncos- likely be good next year
Dallas- likely be good next year

Cardinals- depending on kyler health
Texans- will suck next year regardless

So cardinals and Texans are your only shot at a top 5 pick next year

Yea that’s fine but why would you prefer AZ’s 2nd rd pick to their 1st rd pick this year

Over a 10 year career missing more than half the games getting paid 10s of millions to ride the bench with mysterious injuries that never heal.

I would take Bryce Young before Williams, all day every day.
