With this roster, this is the way. When the majority of your starting 22 can be improved upon, you can pick any position. As time goes on, and the starting 22 (or even two deep) become better, then you can do different things.
EX: In the middle of the Payton era, there were not may roster spots available. Talent was here. You can trade up because you weren’t going to keep 7 draft picks. Now….just the opposite. Talent infusion is needed everywhere.

Bingo. And it’s logical to emphasize offense with Shough going into his second year at the potential expense of the defense. Moore is ensuring that Shough is not throwing to Kevin Austin Jr and Ronnie Bell in December.

All of this! I think the Miller pick will go a long way to helping Staley with run defense…..which will help everything else. The most important thing though, is building this offense into a juggernaut. If you can do that…..teams will have to play from behind, which plays into our strengths on defense (pass defense).

Some of you think the Saints are 1or 2 players away from the SB.They need talent at every position including TE.How many more picks do they have 3,4,they will draft more Defense and add more talent to the team.
