Can anyone else not stop thinking about the saints right now?

im 29, married with no kids. I thought I was over letting the saints consume my life, but this season, with the team living up to the hype, I’m finding myself constently thinking about the saints throughout the day. Counting down the hours till the next game.

Remembering the feeling of 9 years ago and what could come in the next month and a half... home playoff games in the dome, thinking about where I want to watch the Super Bowl, looking up flights to Atlanta in February...

I know I shouldn’t get ahead of myself like this but I can’t help it. Let’s beat the Panthers Monday night!!!

I agree.

I haven’t felt this way since 2011 Vernon Davis TD. I lost a part of my soul in that moment that I may never get back from a sports fandom perspective.

But this year is feeling special. I still have the PTSD somewhere deep down though. I don’t think I could ever get as emotionally invested as I was in 2009 and then 2011, but it’s damn close to being back.

32 with 1 kid and 2 steps and the Saints have pretty much consumed my thoughts throughout my work day. I may shed tears of joy if Brees gets to hoist that SB trophy in our enemy's backyard

I was like that in 2009. I’m feeling like it again for the last few weeks.

We have a special team, and we just need to finish strong.

The Saints have consumed my life since I was a kid. Now I’m almost 35, married, with 3 sons. I’ve taken my oldest, he’s 6, to almost all the home games and even took him to Dallas a couple weeks ago. He cried on the way back to our hotel. I was heart broken seeing him so upset after a loss. But it’s so gratifying seeing him so happy after a win. The kid lives and breathes Saints football. What I’m trying to say is that it’s really cool having a smaller version of myself to talk about the Saints with. During the day my dad and I text constantly about the Saints, roster moves, injury reports, predictions, etc., and when I get home it’s all my 6 year old and I talk about. It’s a good time to be raising little who dats that’s for sure.

Are you me?

Haven't felt this good since the 2011 Falcons game where we broke that record

These are special times.

This. Even last year after having a glimmer of hope dashed by Minnesota. I've enjoyed the ride but I'm still not all the way emotionally invested.

I’m 30 and my today is my sons first birthday.

He’s pretty great but typically just shits and laughs all the time. I think he threw a fist pump for that Taysom block but unsure.

Yeah my jaw dropped when diggs scored

But I wasn’t all-in on a holdem poker Hand playing with my life savings then beat on the river. That was 2011when Davis scored

Instead it was like I was playing with a weeks pay on the line and beat on the river when diggs scored.
