Caleb Williams hardly seems to be a sure thing

Shedeur is better. So is Penix. Arguably Jayden Daniels as well.

Certainly could be. He's looked not so great 2 weeks in a row though, and that's the only top 35 defenses he's faced this season. Of the 3 qbs in last year's draft, none had a 3 int game. Richardson certainly had some clunkers though. Williams faces a top 10 defense next week, so it'll be interesting to watch how he bounces back

I think he’s tracking pretty well as a Trevor Lawerence type of QB…
All the talent in the world, but something feels just a little bit off when I think about him as being a top 5 QB in the league. Not 100% what it is, as both QBs obviously have every physical talent in the world. Maybe just a touch to slow processing the field? Maybe a little too over confident in the raw talent leads to some bad decisions?
Whatever it is, I suspect Caleb will be a solid, well above average QB in the NFL in a long time (which is such a rare thing that’s it’s easily still worth the number 1 overall pick)… but that he’ll always be just barely on the outside of the elite tier looking in

I don't think he's going to be close to Lawrence. Lawrence is improving year over year. He looked like one of the best qbs in the league by the end of last year. I think his biggest issue is Press' play calling this year has left a ton to be desired. They ofter have him throw those deep outs and other higher level of difficulty throws (which he does extremely well) but aren't always the easiest to get out.

This always happens. Y’all jackasses realize that all these great qb’s don’t just go through college playing perfect football right? He had a bad game. Up to that point he was pretty easily having one of the 3 best statistical seasons at qb.
Did y’all even watch Joe Burrow his Junior year? The two best qb’s in the league right now, one had 25 int’s his final 2 years. The other had 56% completion, 1800 yards, 16/6 td/int his final year. People weren’t even sure if Justin Herbert cared about football.

NFL teams are scouting how guys navigate the pocket, if they have the arm to make all the throws, enough mobility, things like that. They aren’t just looking for who has the best numbers. Colt McCoy put up incredible numbers.

Mayfield wasn’t in the same category as Williams when it comes to being an NFL prospect. Just admit Sam Hartman looks exactly like Andrew Luck in your eyes. You can’t tell the difference in skills.

I was talking about this year. I could have been more clear, but I didn’t say “all time”. You can’t tell the difference in skill from someone many people call a generational prospect and Baker Mayfield.
The Colt and Baker thing was about stats, how they don’t tell the whole story, and scouts look at other things besides pure stats.
