If we get to the post-season like this and Brees still can't go we are in a world of trouble. Even with the first seed you still have to be able to throw the football down the field in some of those games.
And no, I don't think Taysom is as bad as he looked today. It's clear Sean didn't want to throw the football much, if at all for the Broncos game. Honestly I can't blame him. However there is plenty of tape that shows the best way to create negative plays against us is to send confusing blitzes.

he very easily could be back for the Eagles game in 2 weeks
we've all known the lung was the big issue and once he felt he could breathe normally... as long as the ribs weren't deathly painful... he would shoot up the ribs put on a flak jacket and play
