That's the thing. They have a very short attention span. The parents enjoy it because they get to kill 2 birds with one stone: watch the kid and be at the game. But the kids get bored. They would like to be at the game for about ten minutes, and then they get bored with it and would like to be doing something else.

Exactly this. It's even worse when I see parents become irritated with the poor child for getting restless or upset. It's the parents' fault for bringing the kid in the first place.
