Bringing a purse in the superdome

My parents are going to the game today but my goofy mother heard that you can only bring a purse if its clear. Is this true?

You can bring a non clear purse if it's less than 4x6 inches. They have signs posted around champions square entrance and in one of the garage with a measuring size purse cutout on it. If it fits but its very close leave it in the car. Couldn't get in last time because of my wife's purse which fit, but barely. They said it was too big. Had to go back to the car
