Before Graham's knee came down in bounds, when his foot tapped down near the sidelines, they zoomed in and showed clear as day a white blade of grass coming up when his cleat came down.

There was no doubt in my mind that I thought it was a catch/TD watching it from the big screen. Even the Titan fans behind us thought it was a TD.
guess not.

I heard that a toe counts as a foot but a heel doesn't. Probably why the didn't overturn but I think he was in.
Eta: if he taps the heel then goes out, is he in? Should be the same as a toe. I understand this instance was a bit different with the toe possibly going out before he stopped but I would think once the knee hit, he as down by contact.

If at the very least you can't argue against the ruling on the field stands as called.

I dont remember what the call on the field was?
Was it called a catch, but out of bounds?
Or was it called a no catch, and then during the review they saw he caught it but was out of bounds?

Even if your toes come down in bounds, you must keep the rest of the foot from touching out of bounds if it comes down? So it doesn't matter if it's a heel or toe, the rest of the foot (IF IT COMES DOWN) can not come down out of bounds. Usually toe catches, the back of the foot stays off the ground. If jimmy's heel came down in bounds and managed to keep his toes off the ground same premise would have applied.

What don't you get about a cleat touching a white blade of grass and the ruling on the field was a no catch which made it that much more difficult to overturn?

I would understand it if the cleat touched out of bounds first, but the heel already made contact in bounds. I guess toe trumps all.

I get this.

If one's toes came down in bounds but then their heels came down out of bounds in all the same downward motion, do you not understand this would be ruled an incomplete catch?

Your statement is fact because the call on the field stood? Ok.
