Boom.
Larry Holder ?@LarryHolder 1m
Brees said he's felt as good as he has this year than he ever has. Feels like he can play for "a long time."

Brees on if the team asks him to restructure his deal: Whatever it takes to help the team win.

He needs to take that tick to Mickey's office and restructure his contract.

his contract is becoming more of a bargain with every dufus qb getting 18 plus mill a year.

its funny cause people don't understand difference between restructuring and taking less money.

Yeah and those teams are fricking themselves over. I'm glad he's showing this attitude. If he's gonna restructure, I'll send him some flowers.

you'll send him flowers because of a contractual arrangement of monies that get paid one way or another?

I understand the difference.

But I'd like to hear it in your words.

Am I wrong for giving his statements a bit of the stink eye? I mean, sure, he's all world in the Superdome, but let's be honest, Drew. You were fairly pedestrian on the road. Granted, that's just this year. But it is a bit concerning.

I blame this on the loss at St. Louis, though. We win that game and we're dancing to New York.

Yeah, I remember Aikman was always working with the Cowboys to free up some cap space. I like Drew, but he hasn't shown the slightest inclination to help the Saints in that regard.

Breed needs a true #1 WR to throw it to. The Saints don't have that guy right now. Don't say it's Graham, because he isn't a WR.

Because him restructuring to lower the cap hit makes the team better. I don't care that it's also beneficial for him to restructure. I would be excited.

I know what it means to restructure, don't try to "get me"

He will restructure. He's a good dude and he is making bank on his endorsements right now. The more we win, the more the endorsements continue to flow. He's got the whole family man /dad corner of the endorsements on lock down as far as football players.

we were outplayed

It's the Patriots and Carolina that cost us -- though to be fair the NE TD should not have counted

SOmetimes a restructure is a help now but pushes more back later type thing which isn't always best long term. Fact: Drew don't give a shite about restructuring something if needed. Saints up until this point has never asked him to do so. Drew's contract value is right on. Anybody that thinks drew should rip up his "20 mill per year deal" and accept a "15 mill per year" is fricking dumb.

That was the game to wrap it up. There's no excuse for that.

I have a feeling that they've been working on a restructure since drew signed the contract. Just waiting for when it's really needed. At the time they just wanted to get the contract done.

Yeah, I was being facetious. Chad's dick got hard because he thought he knew something that I didn't. There's no downside for Drew, really.
