Really can't use the transitive property. We lost to the pats in a close game and so did the texans. Are the texans as good as us? We lost to the jets but the bills beat them. Would the bills kick our arse? Obviously not.

really wasn't since the Panthers did lose to Seattle

but if you WATCH teams, you can gain some insight. Carolina is Seattle lite. Not as strong a secondary but the rest of their D is lights out. And a QB who runs over people.

Never over till its over but the Saints were clearly exposed in a number of areas tonight. Just spouting a split doesn't mean it happens. Carolina wont blow the Saints out like that but they are a real problem for this finesse saints team

A Tampa Bay team that was winless at the time had them dead to rights a month ago.

I'm not conceding anything.

So I'm confused. Is Seattle at home better than or worse than Oregon vs. the field every single year?

Sorry to inform you but Carolina's D is nowhere near as good as Seattle's. You can actually run between the tackles AND pass deep on them. Just look their past 2 games b/c Mike Wallace and VJax got behind them and Rainey (which is Darren Sproles esque)ran it right down their throats.

Seattle has people in their secondary that are built like linebackers but run like deer. I don't know why the plan was downfield passing and going after Sherman. It was a terrible plan.

If your pass blocking is sound, you can pass on Carolina no problem.

Yeah, a whole lot lighter. Seattle DBs are big, talk, and fast. Carolina's are Melvin White from ULL. No comparison on the back end. Seattle LBs are better. DLine is comparable but Seattle's D has played like this for 2-3 years. Carolina has been playing like this for 7-8 games. No comparison.

No question that if the Saints don't get their shite together, it will be another bad loss, but let's not act like Seattle and Carolina are in the same level yet v

The whole offense made no sense last night. It was very very frustrating to watch.

I understand. Test him (Sherman). But not on 3 rd and 2. Also, where the hell was Sproles and PT all game? Those guys were no where to be found. Seems like they should have factored in.

Still trying to go to the rookie undrafted third string TE on 3rd or 4th and short.

I swear, Sean Payton makes a lot of decisions based on "what is the least likely thing my opponent would expect me to do? I'm doing THAT! They have two nobodies on the other side of Sherman? That's just what they'd expect me to do, so I'm going right at Sherman!"

He outthinks himself sometimes.

They were given a combined 7 carries.
The offensive scheme and game plan last night was mind bogglingly hard to watch.

Well, I'm sorry to inform you, but Carolina has an excellent front 7 that can rush the passer with the best of them.

Their secondary is suspect, but plays better due to the pressure generated by their D line.

They gave up 16 points to Miami and 6 points to Tampa, so even though their receivers caught passes deep, it didn't matter because their D tightned up.

Throw deep to Meachem, our 4th receiver, against their best cover corner. Brilliant!

Need a major 3rd down? Josh Hill, come on down!
