I don't think this is true actually. I seem to remember reading somewhere that Drew can find receivers/see separation easier in the black on black.
I personally used to only prefer the black/gold combo, because we are the BLACK AND GOLD, and it's the most "traditional" uni we have to me, but the black on black have grown on me, especially for primetime games. And if the players like it, then I like it too.

It's also the uniform we wore on the Halloween Sunday night game against the Steelers, which was one of the most fun Saints games I've ever been to. I like 'em.
