Reality is that against a good D, the WR group has trouble getting separation being jammed at the line. A great slot would help cause Snead has not gotten back in his groove since returning. Almost all the big plays were against subs or in garbage time, including Kamara’s long TD. This may be a playoff team, but not a team that can win it all without more depth on both sides of the ball.

Ginn was wide open for a td Bree's couldn't get it to him. Ginn has been just as good as Cooks on this team and MT is a #1 receiver. Our problem is not wide receiver, it's the shitty qb play and shitty play calling in the first 3 quarters. Another problem is most of our star players are made of glass. Anzalone, latimoore, armstead, crawley

I agree. Last week we had shitty play calling for the first three quarters also. Idk if Sean Payton is doing it on our purpose or what but he needs to just run the ball. That's what open things up down field BUT there is a glaring need at WR/TE. 1 more playmaker

Who’s going to throw the ball deep if we get a homerun WR?

Were you watching a different game? I hardly think Kamara’s long TD making it a 10-7 game was “garbage time,” or “against subs.”

Michael Thomas isn't a top 5 wr, but he's a top end #1wr like AJ Green.

But we do need a better #2 option. Someone who can either open it up for everyone else (Paul Richardson) or crafty slot receiver (all of new England dudes)

Honestly, the player who would work perfectly is Hilton if they could rework his contract. He brings everything cooks does without the drama. But the financial cost is going to be there.

We are sorely missing Brandin Cooks downfield.

Would he be a valuable asset to this team right now? Sure.

Is he the reason we were inconsistent yesterday? Absolutely not. Our lack of consistency in the run game and Brees inability to hit his usual passes.

We're currently 8-3 and Ginn has done just fine filling in on those deep routes he used mostly take up. He's not the long term answer but he's done enough there.

Then where was this thread during the 8 game win streak. Lose 1 game to a really damn good team and people lose their shite. All of this goes away with a win over Carolina and we are still in great position

Plenty of people were stating concerns at wideout and with the passing offense in general the whole season, especially during the winning streak. Brees isn’t accurate enough these days to always throw WRs open like in the past and the OL pass blocking hasn’t been as great as expected.
