Let's say best case scenario Drew is out for 6 weeks. That would mean he will be out until the bye week with an extra week to heal. This is what I predict it can go in the next few games.

Week 3: @ Seahawks L
Week 4: Cowboys L
Week 5: Bucs W
Week 6: @ Jags W
Week 7: Bears L
Week 8: Cardinals W

4-4 after the bye week with hopefully Brees returning at home against Atlanta

We definitely needed a new thread on this.

4-4 would be nice

i would expect 3-5 and that's probably being bias

i hope we can win 4 through that stretch

Think a lot of people are underestimating how good this Saints team is. Brees or not, Teddy will keep us in games to let our defense win I think.

I'm sorry, but I haven't seen this.

Game 1, defense was awful, Brees put the game on his back and won it.

Game 2, Teddy B was completely inept and the defense folded down the stretch.

They played their arse off and got fricked out of a touchdown in the first half. With Drew we most likely take a 7-10 point lead into halftime. How long did you expect them to hold on when they were gassed in the 2nd half because our offense wasn't doing shite?

I think that the problem last game vs the rams had to do with the elite pass rush of the Rams. They are a good team. Teddy almost did not have a chance as every drive for him started with 1st and 20 due to holding from the Oline. But we will see on Sunday if Teddy balls out or not.

Hill could end up being the savior possibly?

Yeah Teddy actually somewhat moved the ball most drives but once there was a holding penalty or sack the drive was essentially over. Drew can recover from a 2nd and 20, Teddy cannot.

Right.

CSP gave Ted all the perfect calls.

The dropped balls and over turned first downs due to a slew of penalties was all on Teddy

Oh and Cooks grrrreat game was Teddys fault too.

I will wait till the seahags game before I slam Ted coming off the bench on the road to a Super bowl team.

I'm somewhat doing the same. But, if y'all don't think this team is going to be hanging on for dear life until Brees returns, than you're delusional.

I feel like most defenses can't figure out gimmick offenses for at least a good half season or so.
Why not use both or our resources we have in Teddy and Taysom. Use taysom for some wildcat, etc. and use Teddy when we need more accurate short yardage/goal line situations. I feel we can we can win at least 4-5 of the next 6 games like this.

But what do I know, I watch the game from the couch

They do have a great pass rush but even you have to admit there were times where Teddy spent about 7 seconds in the pocket just looking around.

Best case is 6-0. In reality a true best case would be to beat the Bears and be 4-2 while Brees is out.

I just don’t see Brees being out for only 6 weeks.

I don't understand why people say stuff like this. Unless you have some kind of inside information (which you don't) then you are just being pessimistic. I don't get why people get off on expecting the worst.

That is literally the best case. Best case is teddy comes in next game and wins until Brees gets back and we don't miss a beat. I don't think that is realistic but I think he can win the games we were always gonna win (Jax, TB, ARI) and probably steal one of SEA, DAL or CHI. Seattle hasnt looked dominate at all so far (2 wins by a total of 3 points against 2 awful teams). Dallas looks good but hasnt played anyone yet (NYG and WAS) and wont before we play them (MIA @ home). Chicago's offense looks terrible so far so that could be a really low scoring game. There are scenarios where we are 7-1 heading into the bye and Brees returning.

What is this weak arse mentality that we aren't going to skullfrick the Cowboys in the dome? We're not losing that game, period.

Meanwhile, in regards to this week's game...

When Sean Payton was asked a question about Taysom Hill being the No. 2 quarterback, he said, "You're assuming he's the No. 2." He said they'll approach Sunday's game with two QBs. And he said that can be an advantage against the Seahawks.

OH SNAP!
