All of this. It’s true of any city.

I cannot tell you how many times I’ve spoken to out of staters and it’s always one of two things: either they’ve visited New Orleans and loved it, or never have & it’s own of they’re most desired trips in the U.S. If people around the world know nothing else about Louisiana, they’re aware of New Orleans and Mardi Gras.

Crime is unfortunately just a part of any city that won’t be lessened until we solve the poverty problem. In no way does that mean that you can’t have an incredible experience there and build a life.
