Williams said after the game that he should have “attacked the ball”. No you don’t. Let him catch it and just wrap him up and tackle him. It doesn’t even have to be a bone crushing blow. Just wrap him and hold him down. Crawley is there to help if necessary.
Attacking the ball is worse because you might wiff...like he did.

Look I like MW and think he has a bright future but am just confused by what he did and some of his comments after the game. He did also say he’s got to make that tackle but said if he had it to do over he would attack the ball. Confusing?

I thought the same thing when I heard that postgame interview.

If you had a re-do like you said, don't attack the ball baw, just fricking make the tackle and its game over. No second chance at a hail mary throw down field or nothing.

One of the few times in football where the smart play was literally just standing there waiting for him to come down and grab him.

The kids head is in a Texas EF-5 tornado and you expect him to give sound logic after letting 51 of his brothers down.

You people are comical.

Do you honestly think he had a clear mind at that point? He was in such a bad place you could tell he didn’t even know what he was saying

Let it go

Seems his mindset was confused before the play and it lingered during his postgame interviews.

There is no logical explanation for his actions but we need to move past it. This kid will be a good, if not great, player for us in the future.

Jesus are you really arguing semantics from a rookie player who just made his worst football mistake at the worst time?

Dude probably doesn’t even remember doing that interview. Still shook.
