At this point, just let Dennis Allen burn it all to the ground and Saints can hit a total

reset. Get rid of all the bad contracts and start over after Carr contract is done. It will be some lean times but eventually the Saints will come out on the better side.
You went all in on a Super Bowl and it didn't work.

Would that get Loomis fired?

This is the issue. With the way the Saints are structured Loomis is a de facto owner. One who is not going to fire himself. And one who seemingly has become defiant towards the fanbase. To the point where he is hellbent to show all of you idiots how great a GM he truly is when, in reality, he was never a personnel guy. His role was ensure the Saints were able to get the personnel the actual personnel people wanted. It's become personal to him. With Payton and Brees now a part of Saints history, Fredo Loomis is trying to show all of you that "he's smart! He can do things!

If you haven't learned, we like to drag things out as long as we possibly can to our own demise.

I expected a better take.
Disappointing. Would not read again.

Would you please explain how ML is a co-owner? Something similar to stock options? Genuinely curious, as I’ve heard this before but never seen anything concrete reported.

he isnt
but when gayle dies he sells the team and gets a nice chunk of the purchase price as a thank you from gayle
so he isnt really a part owner, but he does share in the money from selling the team, so he has ownership level interest in the teams value

He's not a technically a co-owner. But he essentially serves in that role because the legal owner doesn't really care enough to be an owner. She inherited the team from her husband. She doesn't want to be bothered with the day-to-day aspects of owning the team. So she essentially cedes all control to Loomis and Lauscha. She does whatever they recommended she do. And one of those things will NEVER be to fire Loomis.
Usually when a team is making coaching changes, GM changes, etc, those directives are coming from the owner who wants to be involved in the management of the team to some extent. Gayle doesn't. So, in essence, Loomis has almost unilateral control of running the franchise because the only person above him, Gayle, doesn't want to.

That’s going to happen anyway
