Anyone thats followed this team pre 2000 would fight you on this.

If you want to know what its like to never really have much success go follow the pelicans because that is mind numbingly hard to watch at times.

You will never convince me always being competitive is bad

You gotta be thankful for seasons that we’ve had recently.
I didn’t see us as super bowl contenders this year, I just never saw the explosive offense that I feel we were missing. Losses suck but I’d rather have the seasons we’ve had the past 4 years then the years we had in 2014-2016. Time to turn the page.

I agree. Saints fans - move on. You're talking about past history now, when you talk about the Payton-Brees Era because it is over.

It is what it is - great regular season organization. Then end the conversation, unless you want to start bashing the organization, because, there's nothing good to say about the Era. One SB win during the tainted Bounty Season of 2009.

Great regular season organization. Won a lot of games and Division Championships in an Era where the Division was pretty tough sometimes. That's it. Stop talking at that point.

I’m not even a saints fan and it’s amazing how mind numbingly dumb some of y’all are.

frick you, bitch.

The Saints are a below-average playoff team. Period. Whenever I'm in a conversation about the Great Champions of the NFL, don't ever mention the Saints or Drew Brees, because you'll be laughed at if you do.

This team wasn’t truly a Super Bowl team. It just never had that feel. The fact that we got as far as we did with all the injuries and Brees being a shell is a testament to how this team is built.

None of the recent losses outside the no call bother me all that much to be honest. They suck but I’d rather be in those games than not every single time.

Boy, these threads got dumb.

All but 1 playoff team ends their season with a loss. Give me a playoff loss over no playoffs every time. I guess I'm like this bc I'm not a weak beech.

That maybe the team will find a spark and go on a run so good that you win it all. Wasn’t likely to happen against the Packers, but no one thought we’d beat Manning and the Colts. Yet they did.

It’s a disappointing finish, but better than most of the other teams.

Or as you father should’ve said, “man up, kid”.
