Wow. Whats more impressive is evidently he has already grasped a lot of the offense. Physical tools are not the only thing.

I would also be cautious with this because Brown was injured for the first few practices and Smith has run some with the ones so they are definitely rotating.

They are certainly not handing Armstead the job, but being that he is getting more reps with the ones than Smith does say he is at least ahead of him right now.

We'll see how Brown does coming back from that weightlifting injury. I suspect that's why he was with the 3s his first practice back.

In the end I hope Armstead does win out because I loathe the idea of Brown starting. I was hopeful Smith would show something but getting pushed down the chart by a Div2 rookie is not a good sign for him(or a great sign for Armstead and the Saints).

I don't see where 9lbs makes a difference. If anything I think it slows him down, he's lighter on his feet without so he can get into his backpedal faster for protection. he doesn't need extra weight he is already a 300 pounder.

that's common sense. You add more weight it slows you down.

It also gives you a better center of gravity and makes you harder to push.

It's always a trade off when adding or losing weight. He added a slight amount of heft becuase he has more than enough speed. I wouldn't mind seeing him about 320-325.

So when he transitions from the strength and conditioning program from ark pine bluff to nfl new orleans saints, he can gain muscle mass but can't improve quickness and agility speed. got it. fricking wizards up in this bitch.

Never said he can't improve his quickness. Just stating that in general when you gain weight you lose speed(little weight, little speed; lot of wieght, lot of speed). Of course there is a lot more to it than that, especially if gaining muscle in your legs, so yes I was oversimplifying.

But he already has plenty of speed so I wouldn't mind seeing him add weight.

You're a clown as usual. You don't get what I'm sayin. He's already 300+ meaning he's heavy enough. shite, I think he already outweighs Charles Brown, but if he feels he needs more weigh more power to him.

you said adding weight automatically slows one down without any other variables to be discussed. I added weight since i was born, i think i'm a wee bit faster too.

You are right. Even with added weight he's still faster than most OLineman.
