Are the receivers not open?

Db’s look all over the routes from what I can see on tv

It looks like Carr has no open receivers to throw to.

It's basically a not very good college offense. Not many of the routes I can see are designed to move defenders, just trying to let guys run and hope for the best. When Payton was here there was a couple of plays in every series that was a fully designed play to get the playmakers in space. To defend Carr somewhat (and I never was a fan), he at least knows this and tries to audible to something better. That's never been his thing though.

There definitely isn’t much separation. If I see one more ball to Michael Thomas down the sideline after he gets zero separation I’m going to turn it off.

I don't think anyone (WRs, qb, oline, rb, TEs, coaches) is above criticism on offense

Ar least Payton would run schemes to get someone open. Also he had great line play foe years. Carl Nicks and Jahri Evans.....who were seldom hurt
