Bottom line is New Orleans did more for Archie then he ever did for New Orleans. No foundation, never went to visit the schools or donate money to any cause that I know of. I could be wrong, but Brees is bigger then football in the City.......
true, he was and is just a sap-sucker (money first in his pockets)! this is what his passing camp in N.O. is all about, benefit of his elder son Cooper. but, he was still an excellent QB for the Saints without much help all those years that he played.

dont get pissed because you can't answer my question. Put your Peyton Jersey on, go rub one out in the sink, and then complaine to your wife about what an ahole I am....and guess what when you take from an organization and a city that has been shitted on during your football career and has suffered the most terrible natural disaster in history with you as a resident YOU OWE THEM ALOT BECAUSE YOU HAVE MORE TO GIVE THEN THEY DO...Its called compassion...Look in the mirror and see what a selfish douche bag looks like....and as far a roommates...your wife owes me half of last months rent........

More idiots....Cooper doesn't need money. He's a very well respected and accomplished oil and gas stock trader. The camp is for the benefit of the community and aspiring athletes. You guys still pumping the keg from last night? Jesus.

I will never doubt his talent or toughness...just his willingness to help a City that provided alot of good memories....alot of people with alot less have given more.............

and he got that job based on his experience? Same reason he got the job at WWL. I remember him drunk of his arse at "Fat Harrys" telling anyone who would listen and did not know him that he was Archie's Kid. The other boys ( to their credit) were nothing like that. one question? If the camp benefits the community then that means any kid who wants to attend can go for free?

Archie Manning attended the University of Mississippi where he was named an All-American Quarterback and is the only Ole Miss player to have his number retired. In 1971, Archie was the second player chosen in the NFL draft, and during his 15-year NFL career he set passing records with the New Orleans Saints and played in two Pro Bowls. In 2005 Archie received the Legends award from the Davey O'Brien Foundation and the Aspire award, a tribute to life's coaches, from the Cal Ripken Foundation. Archie was honored by the United States Sports Academy with the 2006 Distinguished Service Award. Also, he recently received the Silver Buffalo, the Boy Scouts of America's highest award and Father of the Year by the National Father's Day Council. Archie and his wife Olivia were recipients of the National Pathfinder Award for their work in post-Hurricane Katrina. For 25 years he hosted four Archie Manning Cystic Fibrosis benefit golf tournaments in Louisiana and Mississippi and is active in a wide variety of charitable and civic causes. He and his sons also operate the Manning Passing Academy, a summer camp for high school quarterbacks and receivers. In honor of the Mannings' college football accomplishments, the Sugar Bowl has created the Manning Award to go to the nation’s best college quarterback. Archie Manning and his wife Olivia reside in New Orleans.

Sears, Rebuilding Together & Archie and Olivia Manning Team Up
Thursday, August 27th, 2009
What a great morning. We are here with Sears, Rebuilding Together and the first family of New Orleans — Archie and Olivia Manning (where they are just as big of stars as their NFL quarterback sons Eli & Peyton) — to rebuild a 3,000 square foot community center that will serve the location neighborhood in the 9th ward.
And on Saturday, Sears, the Mannings and Rebuilding Together will turn the keys of homeownership back to Army Corps veteran Geraldine Bush. Both properties are located in a neighborhood that was hardest hit by Hurricane Katrina. Sears donated $70,000 to rebuild the Community Center and Bush’s home, and is providing Kenmore ENERGY STAR qualified appliances including refrigerators, ranges, washers and dryers.

As you know, this weekend is the 4th anniversary of Katrina and Sears has stepped up to continue the rebuild in this area. A smart cause-marketing program as their home appliances sit in the kitchens of many Americans (especially folks in the Gulf region)…and more importantly, it is the right thing to do and certainly well needed in the area. It is a huge help for the community and local families. Other retail stores could learn from this activity.

I dont hate him for supporting his son. I respect that! I do feel that he and his kids could do more for the city from the KAtrina fall out. Others feel differently and I respect that also. I just do not want to see him on TV giving interviews about the Saints or New Orleans when he has essentially sat on his hands during New Orlenas darkest hour. Now that the sun is coming out, he wants to reappear..........

Thank you Sir, you provided information that Archie and Olivia showed up to give keys to a house built and paid for by SEARS. He did lend his name to this cause and has raised money for good causes thru golf tournaments. But it seems that SEARS did most of the work here. And by the way the Sugar Bowl Comittee is made up mostly of the social circle from the Garden District. Find me a blue collar worker on the Sugar Bowl Committee and I will tell you where Bin Laden is!

Just bc he doesn't publicize it, doesn't mean he doesn't do it. Peyton has a foundation that has given tons of money to NO, he just doesn't publicize it. Both he and Eli came back to help out the week of Katrina.
It's pretty unfair to levy such criticisms when noone knows what they have done.

Peyton is in his 30's C"mon Man he's not in Pop Warner no more. Why can't Archie pull for the Saints? New Orleans has been very Good to the Manning Family! So why can't he pull for the Saints ? Why ? Who made that rule. Archie!!This is your Team, Your city, U work here!!Your son plays else where...plus it makes for good fun rivalry......should pull for the Saints...I understand family and all but C'mon Man!!!! P.S. Find a blue collar member of the Rose Bowl Committee, Cotton Cowl or Fiesta Bowl. This is a pathetic statement. Now go buy a Royal Olds and slap some LAS siding on your house.

You know Peyton has a ring already, why not pull for the team that has given him the lifestyle he still enjoys, in the city in which he lives?
