Up for sale is a true piece of NFL history!

This jacket is one of a kind and is the actual jacket given to the New Orleans Saints great Rickey Jackson for his enshrinement to the NFL Hall of Fame on August 7, 2010.

He is the first & only member of the Hall of Fame to be inducted from the New Orelans Saints.

This is currently only the second NFL Hall of Fame jacket EVER sold!!

I don't have a wall big enough to display that, so I'm out.

would be nice except for the vegetable stains on it. everyone in his hometown grew vegetables. Vegetables are good for you. Nothing he remembers more than the vegetables from Pahokee.

downtown Pahokee-

Two things I am wondering.

Don't the players all wear their jackets when they go to Canton every year or am I making that up.
-He probably won't go back anyway.

Who was the first person to sell their jacket?

Incredibly disappointed in Rickey. His induction meant the world for Saints fans, but obviously it meant nothing to him.

Trippi's jacket sold a couple of months ago $2500. How is Rickey gonna get $6000 for his?

Well maybe Benson will buy it to put in the Saints HOF. Just give him 10G's and write it off, Tom.

Because him keeping a jacket in the back of his closet means the world to us as Saints fans.

I don't knock him for this, it's basically just a trophy.

I wish someone would give me thousands of dollars for the trophies I have in storage.

He was a great Saint and will always be a hall of fame player.

No one can buy that from him.

Wow, I know players are much bigger today but Trippi was quite short even by the standards of the time:

Date of birth: December 14, 1921 (age 90)
Place of birth: Pittston, Pennsylvania
Height: 0 ft 6 in (0.15 m)
Weight: 186 lb (84 kg)

nothin like celebrity in the US,

William Shatner Kidney Stone for $75K

a lot of official gear for auction @ saints.com

I liked this past one-
You are bidding on a LOT of 25 pairs of Official New Orleans Saints gold colored football pants. These pants have come straight form the Saints locker room and can now be yours. This lot will include various sizes, and have come from various seasons. Most, if not all of the pants are new and never worn. Although receiving some game worn pants is possible, it is not implied or guaranteed.

went for $970

Really??...
You are bidding on a official down marker that has been used by the New Orleans Saints at their training facility located in Metairie, Louisiana. The fully functional down marker could be used during games or become a unique centerpiece to anyone's football memorabilia collection. It measures approximately 7.5 feet tall by 1 foot wide.

went for $80
