anyone go to the VOODOO game last night

first game back and it would have been good if it weren't for the grating PA guy. the rantard is the anthesisis of new orleans. acted like we've never watched a football game before. screamed at the top of his lungs..."WHO WANTS A TURNOVER??!!!!!" "IN NEW ORLEANS WE CALL THAT PASS....IN-COM-PLETE"..."ON THE COUNT OF 3 I WANT YOU TO SCREAM AT THE TOP OF YOUR LUNGS....1...2......" the guy started the count when tampa got to the line, complete silence in the huddle. last night the announcer completely ruined what used to be a great experience, someone NEEDS to merk that fool and kick him the frick OUT of new orleans

They did a poor job of handling tickets (apparently they didn't mail them out this year so you had to pick them up at the box office). A large portion of season ticket holders were still waiting outside when the game started b/c they were slow/poorly staffed at the box office. Fortunately I wasn't in that group, but it's not the way you want to start a new season. The game itself was entertaining. Pretty good turnout overall. I completely agree about the PA announcer. He needs to shut the hell up. Aside from that, it looks promising for them.

Arena football is just really bad. I kind of wonder if the return of the VooDoo hurts the Hornets any attendance wise?

Sounds like they brought the PA from Bossier City. He did the same thing for the Battlewings with all the "incomplete" crap and the count of 3 everyone scream to the top of their lungs. He must work for cheaper wages for the owner to transport him from Bossier to New Orleans.

I think the announcer was treating the fans like retards because it was the first game and he wants everybody to get sync with that stupid "in-come-plete...

I went last Friday and that PA guy would not shut the frick up. He rambled at times and would talk about everything BUT football. There were no pregame activities outside before the game. The music in the arena would switch from country music to rap to rock. Stick to one fricking theme. The experience overall is def. not the same as compared to when it was owned by Benson. I can see this folding in about 3-5 years.
