I was talking to somebody about it to get a feel on if I should go, who went both times the Saints were there over the last 20 years. He did the ceremony and the game, and he told me that it is just legitimately kinda boring.

Was planning on going until I found out the Saints weren’t playing. Now skipping.

Yes, doing museum Friday, maybe minor league baseball in Akron Friday night.

Hear of any Saints fan meet-ups Friday or after the enshrinement Saturday?

Have a buddy who was inducted the same year as Michael Irvin. My wife and I had field passes which allowed you in the after party as well. It was a blast. There were so many former players there that I watched as a youngster. It was so cool to meet them and get autographs.

When I went it was smoking hot. The next day not so much. My wife and I went and bought long sleeve garments to wear. It got cold and rainy overnight. We took a drive up to Cleveland though and it was cool to see the browns stadium and the RR Hall of Fame.

The HOF is nice to visit once if you’re a true fan of the game. Canton is a nice town, but no need to spend more than 12-18 hours there.

Just bumping to say we had an absolutely amazing trip. Just walking around we saw so many former Saints and NFL players, said hello to Roaf, Colston, Taysom Hill, Michael Thomas, Steve Gleason, Warren Sapp, even said hello to Godell in the hallway while touring the HOF.

While the ceremony may not be worth it unless you are a big fan of a player getting inducted. the NFL HOF is a great visit for anyone who likes football. And for folks who like baseball Cleveland is 1 hour away and Pittsburg is 1.5 hours away from Canton.

And thats without even mentioning Brees what it meant being there as a Saints fan. Not the thread to discuss who might be next, but if when/if its Cam or Payton, if were alive and healthy we will plan to go.
