Kamara has the 5th AAV among NFL RBs. He hasn’t had a rush go over 30 yards since 2021. He hasn’t had the juice in awhile. Guys who are paid like that don’t need a perfect everything to find success.

In 2024 he played in 14 games and had 1493 scrimmage yards.

Led the Saints in both rushing and receiving yards.

Became the third player since 2000 with 1,100+ scrimmage yards in each of their first eight seasons.

That contract was for sure too much but he was still a solid player in 2024 under a horrible offensive system.

Last year speaks to his efficacy, or lack thereof

Career high in touches yet his fourth best yards from scrimmage season. Of his 68 catches, only 18 went for first downs, by far a career low rate. Long run of 18 yards.

It all correlates with tbe eye test for me. He just doesn’t scare defenses any more

This is another one you’re way off base. Kamara has given his all for the city and team time and again. I hope he gets to retire with NO, but that just doesn’t always work out. Uhhhhh, Joe Montana? Jerry rice? Tom Brady?
Captain Kamarica will always be one of my all time favorite Saints rbs, right up there with Dalton and Deuce.
