I wouldn't consider the one to the WR a drop. It would have been a great catch because it was just inches wide of him. Should have been a holding or illegal contact call because Steve Alford prevented the receiver from being able to come out of his break with all the hand checking he was doing.

Stats mean very little for a DT. Sometimes the best DTs in the league do their job by getting the double team and stuffing the run.
So it is important who lines up next to them and what they do.
That is why losing Fairley was huge for the Saints, because you cannot double both him and Rankins.

Where s everyone from the first page saying he was garbage.
He showed flashes when he was here for sure. He played like a man his first year or two then something happened that last year to make them trade him.
The story never really came out cause I was pissed when they traded him cause we never had talent on the d line

Galette's Saints stats according to pro football reference
2011: 4.5 sacks
2012: 5 sacks
2013: 12 sacks
2014: 10 sacks
Obviously sacks aren't everything but he was definitely a consistent playmaker for us for a couple years until he starting acting like an idiot.
