After over 50 years as a Saints fan let’s be clear

The officials have never been a fan of the Saints, decades ago one of the announcers finally confessed after a bad call that Saints were the only organization not to make voluntary contribution to officials retirement account, and openly questioned whether that was source of bad calls.
They let up on us for few years because Paul Taglibue felt sorry for us after Katrina and developed a true love for New Orleans.
Then came bounty gate and source of the CSP-Goodall feud, but once Benson realized that Roget Goodall lied to him all along and he should have fought him like the players all did he wanted him gone, so then it’s a Saints Goodall feud.
As long as Goodall is Commissioner, Saints will never sniff another super bowl. If you know a voodoo curse to end him do it soon. He is real pos and will take express elevator to Hell.
We have to dominate to win, we will never get any calls in any playoff games ever. If I know this then so does CSP.

Nap time pawpaw. Maybe get your friends at the FBI on the case.

There is no question in my mind that nfl officials are harder on the Saints. Our coach openly condemns them and the league, our fans sued them, and the after effects of bounty gate still linger.
That said, the refs didn’t cost us this game. We just played like shite

That's because Benson used to be a notorious cheap-arse.
There's a reason he was head of the NFL finance committee. He's a tightwad used car salesman. Classic New Orleans personality.
There's definitely something to Sean Payton and Rodger Goodell shity relationship starting with bountygate when Rodger Goodell just wanted Peyton to swallow his bad medicine for the betterment of the league and the looming CTE litigation but Sean Payton is an arrogant hardhead and he refused to take the fall for it.
Compounding all this is the fact that the New Orleans area is only the 42nd largest television market in the United States and the Saints have one of the smaller fan bases in the NFL.
The Saints are just an easy target and it's made worse now by the fact that a cordial, soft-spoken widow who hasn't been part of the boys club, is now the owner.
I wouldn't be shocked if someone told me that the 2009 Super Bowl was Tom Benson's reward for keeping the Saints in New Orleans. They want the Saints in New Orleans because they love hosting Super Bowls there.

OP is absolutely correct. Sorry if that is hard to accept, but it’s fact.

Cajunbama aren’t you a Falcons fan you miserable pos.
I am not saying main reason we lost, I am saying we are breaking records losing close games in playoffs, I am sure will add another next year. We need to play like we have to be up by 10 with a minute left or we will lose. We have almost no playoffs wins in CSP era when other team had the ball last with chance to win

I don't think that this is the right time for this thread, because your theory, which may be true, had very little to do with today's loss. The Saints lost today because they are Playoff Choke Artists, just like the ATL Falcons, except for one season - 2009 season, ten years ago.

Nolo is right too. What can we do about it? Not a damn thing.
Goodall has burned a lot bridges, a lot of owners want him gone and players loathe him. When this labor contract expires, the players will strike and no way that cocky lying prick can resolve that. I would not be surprised if they don’t make that condition to end strike, or Jerry Jones gathers enough support to end him.

This is really in response to the no call on the offensive PI at the end, not the game in general. We didn’t deserve to win, and Vikings will get destroyed next week
