Favre should be unanimous first ballot.
Also I forgot Warner. He will get in. 2x MVP and a Ring will do it.

If Chris Carter can't get in then how is Warner a sure thing?

Well Warner is a QB and did win a SB, but who says Carter won't get in? he hasn't, but this was what his 2nd year of eligibility, I suspect, like Art Monk, Carter will get in, it just might take a while.

I think it is BS that Carter, Monk and soon to be Tim Brown have to wait for a few years but Michael Irvin was voted right in sans his little one year punishment for being a pothead.

I agree, I think this first ballot stuff is nonsense. His stats aren't getting any better.

I agree with that, but Warner is a 2x MVP, 3 time superbowl QB, the most accurate QB in NFL history, and a Suoerbowl MVP.
He might have to wait a year or two(Though I think he gets in first year) but he's getting in.

Do ya'll really think Big Ben has a shot to get into the HOF? I just don't see how. I know he already has two SB rings, but is the guy ever considered one of the top QBs in the league? How can he get in if he isn't even considered one of the best QB during his era? I just don't see why you would put him in just because of SB rings.

Brady- if his career ended today with 7 full seasons I wouldn't call him a lock. Probably in but would take a few years
No chance.
Hypothetically speaking, if Brady's injury ended his career and he never took another step, I'd bet my life savings that he is a 1st ballot LOCK!!!
Pretty easily.

While I agree that SB rings shouldn't have as much "power" as they do when it comes to HOF consideration, but the fact is they do.
Big Ben has a pretty good shot of getting another ring in the next 3 or 4 years.
Like it or not, 3 SB rings for a QB is an automatic HOF lock!!!

That's right about SBs carrying a lot of weight in HOF consideration. I'd say one of the worst things about the NFL is the HOF process and the awards. HOF voting is on a one vote system, no graduated vote scale. It's political BS IMO- Michael Irvin first ballot and Art Monk 13 years?? Pro Bowl, MVP, etc is even worse... <insert rant here>

The Super Bowl can make or break a QBs chances of getting in the Hall of Fame.
Check out these career statistics:
Dave Krieg - 38,147 yds, 261 TD, 199 Int, 81.5 rating
Boomer Esiason - 37,920 yds, 247 TD, 184 Int, 81.1 rating
Jim Everett - 34,837, 203 TD, 175 Int, 78.6 rating
Terry Bradshaw - 27,989 yds, 212 TD, 210 Int, 70.9 rating
Bradshaw is in the Hall (and should be). The other 3 will never make it in even though their passing statistics dwarf Bradshaw's. The other 3 had no Super Bowl success (Esiason at least played in 1). That's the only difference.
Like it or not, it counts a great deal for QBs.

You can not compare Bradshaw's stats to guys that played after 1978 and the drastic rules changes that favored the passing game.

Big Ben is certainly on his way, he is still pretty damn young and has 2 super bowl rings. He may not be the flashiest QB, but he makes things happen, and gets the job done.
Ben really has 1 superbowl ring...in fact he did EVERYTHING IN HIS POWER to lose one of those rings...
the dude has been blessed with a great run game and O line early in his career and an ELITE defense presently he is an above average qb at best with great elusiveness
