And running straight down the field as fast as you can.

It's obvious Ginn no longer has the wheels.

I'm very conflicted on this. The guy is totally off the rails and has a severe mental problem that he hasn't seemed to address. He's also a huge talent.

I probably wouldn't risk it.

Exactly. I think if we were in a different position, meaning we were 4th best and needing to make a splash to have a legitimate play at a run, then it's a risk worth taking. PFF has us ranked as the best in the NFC by a pretty significant margin. I don't think this is a risk worth taking given where we are and what's at stake.

Jenkins was a risk worth taking. There is a greater need at DB, and he comes with significantly less baggage than Brown. We have Cook playing great and Kamara showing he's starting to get healthy. Ginn/Smith are serviceable. This offense is great.

It's all about the risk/reward ratio, and in this case it does not rate out as one worth taking.

The guy was on twitter YESTERDAY disparaging the women suing him, saying he only remembers them with their panties down, etc.

He is a fricked up dude. He is NOT capable of just shutting up and playing ball. Payton will not put up with that.

And even if he would, my guess is that he would require AB to shut down all social media for this run and have no media interviews. AB is NOT agreeing to that.

You can't put AB and Ginn in the same sentence talent wise on the field anymore.

Well cut him for being AB and he’ll come out and say “saints still discuss bounties” “CSP still popping Vicodin”

I'm not. AB is light years ahead. I'm saying that our offense is clicking and is nearly unstoppable, so the upgrade is minimal compared to the risk that comes with it.

The biggest problem with this team in 2011 was bad characters in the locker room. The me first players caused too many distractions, and it caused inconsistencies in the playoffs. Payton cleaned house and committed to creating a high character atmosphere, and here we are now with 3 consecutive seasons of contending for a championship.

Is it really worth risking this for upgrading an offense that is already top of the league?

I think CSP will be upfront to this guy about why he is here (12-3 without him) and what he can expect if signed.

Coach got rid of AP in a new York minute I'm sure AB knows that as well so I see little harm at this point.

Its obvious we don't have to have him to win with our record but its damn plain to anyone that CSP would like another gear for the playoffs.

look i get your theory, but short term risk is minimal. AB isn't tearing apart our locker room. To even think such is an insult to the leaders we have.

and yes, you always take the upgrade. Our WR2 hole is huge. AB has been such a shite head and it will be hard for me to ignore his past but i'm not worried about anything when it comes to him joining our squad for a potential 3-4 week run.

Sure, just as Bellichek was. Look what happened? Steelers are a strong organization as well. Look what happened? At some point you must recognize the scorpion is a scorpion.

Don't disagree with any of that.

I'm just not going to go against CSP if he thinks the scorpion can sting the other team one last time

Jenkins wasn’t a risk at all. He was a guy on waivers.

We have to do this move to rustle ol’ Roger’s Jimmies if nothing else.

He was on waivers for being a character issue... allegedly. I agree what he got cut for was innocuous, but he still was considered a character flaw.

Hey if we sign him, so be it. I hope the reward pays out. It's not something I hate or get angry at, but I don't see the payout being worth the risk involved.

I think we win the Bowl with our current team.

What if the AB signing is what puts us over the ledge to win Super Bowl and thus drew retiring? AB could be helping drew retire...

Then I sit back and say glad the reward played out instead of the risk. I also get pissed that AB caused Brees to retire, and I sky scream all offseason.

Well if Goodell didn't have him on the exempt list before, he'll put him on there the second we sign him.
