Why do people hate on him so much? He holds several franchise passing records, had a rocket arm, and could scramble...
The only thing that I remember that pissed me off about him is after a loss in an important game he was smiling and goofing off on the sideline like we had just won.
I ask this because I don't remember much about him...I wasn't a huge fan in his days like I am now.

He is the worst QB or athlete ever to wear a professional jersey in any sport. Good enough reasons.

c'mon dude, you can;t be serious, the guy was the ultimate all flash no substance tease.

He was a "dumb" black QB if you posted this on the rant.
I have no problem with Brooks he did alot for the Saints in his time. I think eventually the team around him got worse and he was the type of player who could not elevate those around him.

Think to most Brooks was in it for money not cause he wanted to win.
Fans do not like to see a player smiling and laughing after he makes a mistake to cost us a game.

If Hazz whould have benched him and put in Delhomme we wouldve went somewhere. And in an interview not long ago he said that was the worst mistake of his career. Brooks was good until he got paid. Then he went to shite.

I'll tell you what though, nobody could throw lasers like that dude, his passes were a thing of beauty, but he was just a frick up.

had he put Delhomme in and say Jake had some success would we have Brees?

The thing with Brooks was that people expected too much out of him and he was a bit immature. He was actually a very good QB, but still raw, and never had good QB coaching.
The Saints also put all their eggs in one basket with choosing him over Blake after the 2000 season. He needed more grooming, but the coaches didn't give him that. They also never played his backup so he never felt pressure to improve or avoid getting benched.
In the end, he was a solid player, but got too hyped too quick and it bit him in the arse.

No
Nor would we have Payton for that matter

He threw the ball the wrong way down the field?

ha. did he really?
Yup, 10 yards backwards to an OL...
After being released by the Saints, he lasted only one more year in professional football, IMO I think that says alot... (Yes he dislocated his shoulder early in 2006 season but it wasn't season ending injury)
Tried searching for a video, but found maybe one video on YouTube relating to the NFL's Aaron Brooks, I think that says alot as well
