Yes you just described what a backup quarterback is. Someone who can operate an offense if needed but won’t help you score or win. I agree Carr is exactly what you described. If we lose 4 games off the jump, you might as well try another backup

Win% for a QB is a pretty accurate indicator, I don’t think it’s end all be all. Being a .500 QB vs 15 games below is a pretty big difference. Carr would need to go 16-1 to have a winning record
Not to mention those guys all went to the playoffs multiple times and won games as the calendar turned.
