Using this logic, why should I care about empathizing and standing for the troops that chose to fight and die for the GrEATeSt cOuNtRy iN tHe wORLd...

Again, this is YOUR logic. Not mine.

When in the frick have they ever said that?? When in the frick has anyone who’s protested this said it’s wrong to stand at all? The entire argument has been people saying it’s wrong to protest by kneeling, not the other way around. You must be seriously deluded or just straight up brain dead.

It was a bad time to give that opinion. He probably thought he was trying to be neutral, but it was bad timing. As a public figure there probably isn't much to gain right now by talking unless you have to. The interviewer was baiting for a controversy, but he should have sidestepped it.

In other words, all Brees has to do is agree with their opinions and none of this happens.

frick you.

I mean, all the kneelers had to do was not kneel and none of this happens either.

It works both ways, champ.

Understand and empathize has turned into "you better agree with everything that is said and done because if not you are a racist."

1) This is a hyperbolic statement that you are making to deflect and argue, rather than have an actual discussion.
2) The modicum of truth that is contained in your statement is that echo chambers exist on both ends of the political spectrum. "Disagree and argue before name-calling to PWN THE LIBTARDS because I'm actually very uncomfortable with addressing race and social injustice" is as prevalent and destructive as what you are referencing. Neither are good.

Handle it like a man and talk to them over the phone or in person. If I have an issue with a co worker I’m not going on fbook to air it out.

Idk what to tell you if you don't realize how stupid and inconsiderate Drew was to give that answer today.
in 2016, Mike Tomlin kept his entire team away from the field during the Anthem because he didn't want his team to show support in either direction with regards to kneeling.

So we saying Tomlin is wrong and inconsiderate and doesn't care about black people too, right?

It was wrong and inconsiderate by basically trying to put a muzzle on a bunch of adults... doesn't mean he doesn't care about black people, just like I think Drew Brees cares about black people despite what happened today.

Nah that would require acting like a man. They would rather be kunts and drag him through the mudd and possible ruin any team chemistry. Thinking about themselves and their chance to be a “hero” to their peeps on social media is just better for them

Your poster name, lack of a profile, and general statements lead me to believe you're Gen X or older.

Younger generations may feel the need to post something on social media to display their unease and disagreement with what Drew said. Or they may not have enough emotional maturity yet to realize they don't need to air their grievances on social media at all.

Either way, it's a difference in generational attitudes/opinions.

See how I took a min to think about why they would do that, empathize, and then rationalize?

Tigerdroppings, whether you realize it or not, is a form of social media on which you constantly air your grievances. You're just too much of a "kunt" to post this same stuff on other social media, with your real name. Act like a man.

This board needed this thread. Unfortunately, most responses are not meant to add to the conversation and just say "no, you are so stupid."

Honestly, what would you expect from a forum that's rooted in Southern Louisiana where baws roam free (as long as they aren't black).

Refreshing that there are some posters who still try to open a discussion and respond with a response besides "how fricking dumb are you!?"

That’s cute.
Sadly I wouldn’t even be able to post even a halfway decent opinion on normal social media because your kind would be out to try and ruin my life and get me fired.
I don’t have the correct skin color to get away with even something that is not 100% for the “cause”.
LOL I

MT, Kamara, and Jenkins are not petulant children for feeling the way they feel. You are a petulant child for calling them names instead of taking a moment to understand and empathize.

Yes, we are required to listen to people make baseless claims about the structural nature of our entire society and they can proclaim moral amd personal offense when anyone does not embrace their claims unabashedly. Rather than speak honestly as to how our critical faculties assess their claims, we should actually only speak if we agree with their emotional, yet non-substantively expressed opinions. They need empathy and we therefore are not socially permitted to challenge their narrative in anyway whatsoever. This being so, they are totally not petulant children for demanding no criticism or scrutiny of their opinions whilst they are simultaneously afforded the moral right to slander and condemn millions of others.

How fricking retarded are you?

But they are for sub tweeting and unfollowing on Twitter instead of going to the source to confront the issue.

And btw before the tears start rolling out, “your kind” means liberal leftist trash who wants nothing more than to turn this country to a pile of hotshit so we can have a utopia of socialism like Venezuela.

frick me. This is the Saints board. Can’t believe what we have become and I have sunk to arguing like this on here.

His answer was fine. The only stupid thing he did was to give Yahoo an interview with all thats going on and not realize they would bait him into having to answer a question like this

White people need to think outside their box about how others feel. No one else just white people
