We usually go to one Saints game a year and live in north La. I fricked up and figured my work days wrong and we could have actually gone to the Eagles game but didn't plan ahead b/c of my frick up. Our last 2 options are travel to Dallas or the last game of the year against the Panthers. I know there is a possible chance of Saints not playing their starters in the last game of the year but more than likely they will. Would ya'll travel to Dallas or go to the last Panthers game if you had the choice?

Also, if traveling to Dallas how is their game day atmosphere? Any decent hotels walking distance to their stadium and can you drink alcohol walking to the stadium like in NO (remember I ask b/c I live in north La and don't know any better). It's just wife and I so no kids with us this time. Also any good recommendations on eating either before the game or right after, kinda casual with good drinks, doesn't matter what style of food, nothing too fancy. I thought it would be pretty cool to watch the Saints as an away team also, so we are leaning towards Dallas.

I would go to Dallas. Whatever you think of the team, their fans, or Jerry Jones ...that stadium is an incredible marvel of architecture and engineering. Plus the Saints are going to skull drag the Cowboys up and down that field, all displayed in HD on a giant 100’ screen for your viewing pleasure.

Never been to a saints road game. Dallas would be fun. If I could swing it on a Thursday I would.

The stadium isn’t in the best part of town in Arlington. If one of the big selling points of the hotel is walking distance to Jerry World - pass and keep looking. You’d be much better off staying in Dallas or Fort Worth.

The stadium has a very corporate feel and you’ll find yourself watching the big screen a lot of the time.

As far as restaurants, I can help with recs in Ft Worth but not so much in Dallas.

I would stay in Dallas and not near the stadium. Arlington kinda blows. Texas live right by the stadium is okay but stupid expensive. Like more expensive than eating and drinking at the game. It is a cool spot on Sunday to watch all the other games, but this game is a Thursday so it won’t be the same.

Cowboys stadium is awesomely ridiculous. It’s definitely a place to make sure you go.

We ( wife and I) went to the LSU/Miami game and stayed in Arlington at Candlewood Suites, next door to Six Flags. I think it was around $200 a night about a ten minute drive to the stadium ( we took Uber ) Arlington is really nice plenty of stuff to do but if you’re looking for a sports bar Texas Live is the spot( next to ATT STADIUM) its freaking huge.... take the AT&T Stadium tour if y’all get there early...that trip was my Disney

This times a million.

Hung out there for the LSU-Miami game, couldn't recommend it enough, that place is absurd.

I'm thinking of going there for the Saints game even if I don't get tickets.

Sounds like staying in Dallas and not Arlington is the way to go. Uber pretty good to use close to game time or y’all think they will be too busy to maybe get us to game on time? Sorry never have used it, in NO we’ve always just walked to stadium and don’t have Uber where I live

Yea, I hear ya.

We hung out inside for a bit but it got pretty packed, so we spent most of the day at the bar right outside.

Ended up sitting next to the parents of the backup punter for Miami, they were pretty funny. Miami has the legacy Feagles kid at punter who stinks, so they weren't too kind to him in favor of their son. In the end, they were right and Feagles was eventually benched for their kid, Sean Spicer or something.

Mome was pretty cute...sorry no pics, I'll see myself out lol.

Why not wait and come to Nola for a playoff game

There are very few nfl stadiums set up like the superdome where you can walk from any part of downtown

Yeah if you park right next to the stadium. Plenty of parking can be found less than $50 very close to the stadium.

Good call, forgot about that.

He's staying at a hotel, so he'd be much better off taking an Uber to the game.

One thing I’ll say is I was in the stadium yesterday and it was a unique feeling of watching and being part of something special. If saints can pull it off, having been to a game will be a special memory.

I can’t guarantee I’d be off on those days, enough to plan in advance.

True, we won’t get the calendar to pick our off days for next year till right after Christmas. I work 24 hours on and 48 off. We can’t pick off days for next year yet. Maybe if they fell on my off days I could make it work. I’m gonna try for a playoff game also though

the superdome for a late season game with all they have on the line, or in the playoffs would be more exciting, and probably cheaper

I agree and will be looking in to that also
