Unbelievable.... I thought you could just force players to play for whatever amount of time desirable at the price chosen by the fans opinions...

Brees is theonly reason we were in thegame

Mark Ingram says HELLO!

The only reason Drew didn't possibly throw more picks....is because Ingram had a great game which moved the LBs and Safeties up.

I love Drew.....always will just like the overwhelming majority of Saints fans. BUT the sunshine pumpers who continuously bash other posters for VALID CRITICSM is akin to Kevin Bacon screaming "all is well" in Animal House!

Like I stated, most Saints fans love Drew. BUT that does not make him above criticism

Fans criticized Tom Brady last year, and we are criticizing Drew Brees this year. I know pass protection sucks, but timing and decision making is on the QB. Take a sack, live to see another day. I think 5 picks were because of that, 2 were because of forcing the ball in the endzone (Cooks vs. Atlanta; Graham vs. SF)

I agree with the valid criticism and I have been frustrated with the stupid decisions this year too; however, "draft a new qb", "bench Brees", "Brees is done", or other extreme knee jerk reaction threads are fricking stupid. People forget how rare a franchise QB is.

I agree that, unless we got extremely lucky or extremely horrible, we can't get a better QB than Brees. It still doesn't change the fact that he is a turnover machine this year. However, he is still OUR turnover machine.

Dude, Corey White abandoned his only coverage responsibility on what could have been the game clinching play, and you have found a way to blame the only guy that consistently gives us a chance to win.

Wrong. White played his responsibility since the Saints were in Cover 2 Zone.

Vaccaro abandons his responsibility of staying as deep as the deepest receiver.

Vaccaro was basically in damned if does, damned if he doesn't situation. Vernon Davis releases late after staying in to help in pass protection. Davis flashes underneath later in the play & would have been open for a 1st down if Vaccaro doesn't come up to protect the middle of the field. By doing so though, he left White hanging out dry because of being in Cover 2, White was expecting safety help behind him.

What really caused the Cover 2 to fail here was the fact that Lofton was used to spy Kaepernick on the play. With Lofton spying Kaepernick, he wasn't in the middle of the field which would have allowed him to be near Davis when he released late. Lofton is able to be in his normal position, Vaccaro doesn't have to crash down on Davis & void his responsibilities in the Cover 2. You see Lofton in the picture above just to the left of the offical as Davis is beginning to release. In the picture below, you can see that Lofton has shadowed Kaepernick across the field.

Brees and Payton era is over.....good times and will always be loved but they've both lost their edge period. How many games have either or both personally shite away since the super bowl.....and I'm a LSU fan so suck this Tiger dick bitch.

Well of course they are dumb. But most of that is in game or post loss jibber jabber. You can't take that stuff seriously. Don't validate it. You'd be better off trying to get people to think rationally before tweeting.

Let's at least admit they are having an off year....or two.

I do think we are having an off year this year.
We have given up some shitty last second defeats in several games though even during this off year. We honestly could have easily won every game but the Dallas. It's crazy how close we are to being 8-1 instead of 4-5 but what are you gonna do...

I'm sure no one wants to see us in the playoffs. We could be a scary arse 8-8-ish team capable of making some noise if we win the south.

We are in absolute agreement here, he is having an off year. It happens, and it is not all on him.
