5th year options for Ram and Latt

Since they are first round draft picks, we have the team option to pick up their extra 5th year. I do believe it is more expensive than their rookie pay, but not a huge increase. So basically don’t we have them for at least 2 more years? This year and next. Unless maybe we trade Lattimore. I can’t imagine we would let Ram leave any way. And in two years, I think Brees dead money is all off the books. And with a cheaper qb, maybe we can afford to pay Kamara, Ram, and Latt?

You don’t need a cheap QB. We can sign them all

We already have a cheap qb granted he would be priced higher than he is now but way cheaper than drew

1st 4 years of Latt was a little over $13M, 5th year option for Latt is expected to be $10M
1st 4 years of Ram was a little under $9M, 5th year option for Ram is expected to be $11M
So, it'll be a slight increase

Obviously, Loomis will need to work on an extension to spread those costs out because the team already has $250M against the cap before AK's new deal. As a point of reference, the NFL salary cap for 2020 is just under $200M.

When you crush your 1st round draft picks those 5th year options are discounts
Both players will reset the market or get damn near no.1 money
