You can talk about the turnovers and the defense, but if we just punch it in one more time we win.
I think the playcalling in the red zone needs to improve and if this happens we will be fine.
Geaux Saints!!

Sometimes you have to hold accountable execution. Play calling becomes really tricky when you can't rely upon your offensive line to punch in a 2 yard run.

what happened to running a slant to colston on the goal line? a fade to someone other than graham? the quick out to lance moore? they call on 4th down limited brees with these options:
a triple teamed graham, jed collins, and the 3rd sting TE #89. not good options. Meachem was out of the play when drew rolled. no qb can make that throw back across off balance.

The 4th down formation sucked! They new there was no chance we were running the ball. It should have been a empty back field and 5 wide.

not to mention our offense is mainly about spreading the field, hitting guys down the middle and over the top from that 15-25 yard range. When you consolidate the field to under 15 yards, our playbook is really really thin. Hell, we had to run the same 2 pt conversion twice.

we should have run it a third time....

I think Graham is great, but so is the rest of our WR core and RBs... Were too predictable and Graham isnt our only option which in the past two games looks like thats the only person drew throws it too...what happened to spreading the wealth?

i didnt see the replay but it looked like meachem wasnt even looking for the ball when he came out of his break when the ball was picked, just seems like sometimes the recievers and brees are not on the same page

The wealth is still spread. Graham is a monster and is a great safety valve, he and Sproles. Drew trusts both of them to bail him (and the rest of the O) out when things go awry. With the way the line's been playing, unfortunately things go awry more often than they should, which leads to Brees dumping it off to safety valves.

Right. We are at our best when the ball is spread evenly between WRs and Backs. I can name only 2 receivers that were targeted most of the time...and they were at least double covered (there's your interception problem right there), and 1 RB that produced significant gains.
