If anything, this shows that this wasn’t rigged. This was one of the least likely outcomes and it happened. People who think the NFL is rigged are some of the biggest morons on the planet. My team lost, it’s rigged! A ref made some bad calls, it’s rigged! He missed the kick, it’s rigged!

I don’t remember anyone screaming about it being rigged after the Redskins game.

Officiating? Maybe. Players? Highly unlikely.

If somehow you were to stop sports betting, you would lose at least another 20 percent of viewers.

Fine by me. It's the big books that are the problem - if you could just take out vegas it would get rid of a lot of temptation for funny business.

Fantasy and office pools aren't hurting anything - gotta try to restrict the scale of it.

I don't think it is rigged either.

Just saw the circus on the last play come to town with a clown attempting the tackle.

I have seen that play multiple times and it defies logic how he could frick up so blatantly bad.

He just went brain dead those few last seconds and got tight. Yet others are cool with him getting another shot in a similar situation.

I think they would have preferred a Brady vs Brees face off to hype up

The media has never cared about Brees

OP is talking about officials. NFL is turning into WWE.

My friend in Minnesota thought the officials were trying to give the game to Vikings. He felt so bad about it he didn’t text me during the game and it’s the first thing he said when we talked later.

Not to mention the hotel and tourism revenue from out of towners. The Vikings in the Super Bowl in their Home Stadium would actually be bad for business.

That’s how you learn from experience, SuperSoaker. Give the kid a break! He’s a good player. Just had a brain fart. He’ll be fine.

Well yea, it’s not like he has a history of frick ups. Drew Brees got another shot after throwing 5 picks

I 100% believe that officials are instructed to try and influence the outcome of NFL games.

I do not believe the players are involved.

And that comes straight from the top, i.e., Goodell.

If you implying that Marcus Williams was involved how would Vegas know that Marcus Williams would even be involved on the last play? What if they threw it to the other side of the field or the QB was sacked?

It would be much easier and cheaper to pay off someone like Lutz to miss a couple field goals. And no one would question that on the road
