Obviously they didn't help.

But 4 of the turnovers were offensive fouls, and 3 of those calls were very questionable. Two of the other turnovers should have been assists where Larry mishandled passes that should have been easy dunks. That doesn't mean he did a good of protecting the ball, but the stat line makes it look much worse than it actually was.

I watched the game. It was that bad, and he came out sloppy with the ball from the jump. He should’ve had two more turnovers in the first quarter alone but we were able to recover the ball.

I watched the game too it wasn’t that bad. As the poster above stated 4 of them were offensive fouls- 2 which were bad ref calls. Can we please stop shitting on Zion? Hes played incredible lately. What else do you guys want???

It doesn’t mean he’s not an incredible player. We can acknowledge the fact that he came out fumbling the ball everywhere and did not play well last night. I’m sure he’d say the same thing. Play better today and move on.

He was our best player last night and was fouled repeatedly. The whole team had turnovers and he was our leading rebounder and 20 points. I mean its just silly at this point we still blame Zion for stuff when the past month he has by far been our best player.

So we can’t point out Zions poor play because he has been the best player the last month? Come on dude. He played like crap for the first quarter and a half last night. Blame whoever you want, but he wasn’t good.

And that’s fine, he can have a bad night. But don’t stick your head in the sand and ignore it because he’s been fantastic the last few weeks. It’s ok to say he played badly for one night.

I never said you can’t point it out. To make a post harping on his turnovers like he was a major reason we lost is absolutely ridiculous. Don’t just be part of the crowd that everytime Pelicans lose its Zions fault. If you watched the game last night everytime Zion was on the court- this team made runs. And this whole oh he has turnovers he played bad- its silly. Superstars who handle the ball will get turnovers- hes not chris Paul. I just think its become a theme of blaming Zion when he wasn’t the reason we lost.

My point is that we were put in a hole early after getting the big lead because of his turnovers, he had 4 in the first quarter alone and another 2 or 3 in the second. He didn’t play well to start the game at all, but came out and played better in the second half.

If you don’t think turnovers, which Zion contributed to in a significant way, is why we lost then we’ll just disagree.

Yeah we’ll disagree because 4 of them were offensive fouls and 2 of them were just bad calls. He played fine to start the game, we were playing through Ingram to get him going. You are literally blaming the game on Zion when he clearly wasn’t the major issue. Maybe look at us going 6/20 from three while they go 14/36- is that Zions fault?

Shooting 20 3 pointers and only making 6 of them in an NBA game in 2024 when your best player requires space is why we lost that game.
