Exactly. A timeline has probably been discussed with the organization but he is not ready to mark a specific date because the situation is ongoing or he just plain doesn't know exactly how many days it will be.
What we do know is that he will be returning and that's really all that matters. Plus we know our team has the depth to even win games without him. Cut the kid some slack, he's a 19-year-old who has already had a rollercoaster of a rookie season and now he has an emergency family situation to deal with.
Some of these posters don't seem to have the capacity for empathy and view professional sports players as robots who can't and shouldn't focus on anything but basketball. It's a minority of the posters here, but in general there is a pessimistic tone to this board. Basketball is a game, it is entertainment and is supposed to be fun. Why watch if you aren't having any?

Yeah he's posting on social for the first time in a minute.
Hopefully that means he is mentally ready to get back into it and the situation has settled down for the better.

He’s hurt and seeking a second opinion and/or treatment......but keep going with it’s a family emergency. This organization has not told the truth for years, why would they start now?

I'm not saying that Zion was kidnapped by aliens for a week, but would the NBA or the team really tell us the truth if that's what happened?

He is going to come back and dominate, he was already doing it when the season stopped. Hope everything is good with his family.
