Honestly not the worst we’ve seen him, I said in the off-season he almost looks too jacked rather than fat, but people are batshit crazy if they think duke Zion was 280 and he’s now 270 lol

Yea I really don’t think his current playing weight is a problem. Maybe he could stand to lose 5-10 pounds but not much. 15 at most I think

Really he just needs to get his stamina and conditioning up

I think he’s doing it and I also think he’s been hindered for a few games by that thumb injury and being sick

I think Z will be fine tbh

Agreed..I think shedding 10-15 pounds would be optimal around that 275 range. But even if he doesn’t the size he’s at right now is fine once conditioning sets in, he’s an absolute unit

Anyone saying he needs to lose more than that or should be playing at 250 I really gotta question what they’re talking about tbh

If Zion lost that much muscle and stature he literally wouldn’t be Zion lol

Really?

I can link dozens of NBA players, coaches, analysts, doctors, fitness trainers and anyone remotely associated with the medical field that will absolutely disagree with you.

I bet you can't find one that would publicly state that Zion should play over 250lbs.

The team knows it. If he's in such great shape, why did they hold him out of the 5th game?

I’m sure that would be his healthiest weight, but i think he’s talking more in terms of his optimal playing weight and what he was at duke. Which is 275-280

Dude no offense but you really shouldn’t post if you don’t know what you’re talking about

1. He sat out for the birth of his child

2. He has NEVER been 250 as an adult, even at his absolute skinniest. He would have to lose so much muscle to get there the player we would be left with would be worse than what we started with. What makes Zion so special is his combination of strength, quick first step, touch, and jumping ability, but he needs that strength to be Zion

The team intentionally sat him on the 2nd night of a b2b

It was definitely better.
But come on Zion, the whole world is waiting for you to kick the sh-t out of the league. Focus in like LeBron has for decades and you can do it.

Did the Warriors hold Steph out of games regularly because he was out of shape or fat?? No they did it because they didn’t want the wear and tear of back to backs on him. With Zions injury history, holding him out of the second game of a back to back certainly isn’t a crazy decision. Having said that, he looks bigger to me than I recall he looked last December.

250 pound Zion would be faster, jump higher, have better conditioning and still would be heavier and stronger than 98% of the league. He’d be more flexible on both offense and defense.

If you don’t understand that, you either A) don’t know ball or B) are a part of Zion’s inner circle/camp that thinks it’s better for his game and brand to play well at 290 pounds than potentially be the Goat at 250 pounds.

250 pound Zion is like physically impossible. He would have to literally starve himself and lose at least 20 pounds of muscle mass. I don’t think you understand what 250 pounds would mean for his health he would have no energy because he wouldn’t be eating enough food to sustain his body. I don’t think you understand anything about body types or morphology at all if you can’t realize that someone who at their skinniest is 270-275 literally can’t be 250

In conclusion, you’re an idiot
