So we shut him down with the hope that we will have a better draft position. But what did we do to his trade value in the interim?

I want to trade Zion this summer. If he finished the season healthy and with great numbers, his trade value is much higher. This just cut all if that down significantly..

Hopefully they trade him to NYK for someone like Brunson.

You think it changes anything shutting him down the final 10 games? Teams aren't suddenly going 'oh no that back injury is it. Can't do it now'

He is going to miss the last 12 games, 14 out of the final 18. I was hoping he could get to 40-42 games for the year. That way we could be like he played half the year. I think it was a reasonable target for him.

I don't think it helped. I want his value as high as possible to trade him. Him finishing strong and "healthy" would have made him more attractive. To what level I can't say, but people noticed he shut it down early again. The buzz has diminished significantly. Maybe you think that GMs are too analytical and aren't prone to be swayed by public/media perception. We'll just have to agree to disagree on that..
