What do you think of WiseGuy's proposal of
Okafor + West/Landry for Bogut + Maggettee/Salmons

Seems like the only possible way to upgrade Okafor at this point but this would really depend on Milwaukee being desperate because they spent big and then missed the playoffs in the Eastern Conference.

i love maggettee, but he would only be an option as a scorer off the bench

salmons is done

bogut would be nice, though. i doubt the bucks trade him

I'd do that deal. But I seriously, SERIOUSLY doubt that the Bucks do it. Bogut is pretty popular.

It's plausibility is in doubt, but at the time they made all those deals last season the general consensus was WTF Milwaukee. And then they go from a playoff team to a 35 win team with the worst offensive efficiency in the league.

Terrible. Maggette is a cancer and Salmons is done after getting paid. Neither are better than what the Hornets have on the wing. Bogut is very good, but injury prone.

The Hornets also lose any financial flexibility. Bogut is a wash with Okafor. But you're paying Salmons $23 million over the next 3 years or Maggette gets $20 million the next 2. Yuck.

I'd rather Gooden over Salmons, but that's just me. Drew is a solid 6'10, has an above average mid range shot, plays solid D, rebounds at a good rate and makes his free throws. I like a front line rotation of Landry, Bogut, Gooden, Gray. Maybe just me, but I'd prefer Gooden over Salmons.
