Again, what do you think they should have done? Live in the now, not this fantasy world you built in NBA2K.
I guess being the team who loses the superstar will always feel like you get the shite end of the deal.
On a side note, Gentry still needs to go. Feels like we're getting a fresh start here. Get this clown out of New Orleans.
Oh, I don't play video games. I collect action figures like a an adult.

Sounds like 8, 17, and Nets 2020 first for 4 and 39 (plus maybe a Wiz 2nd) is one of the deals that will be offered.

One of the factors is how the board is stacked. If there's a minimal distance between 4 and 8, it's a no brainer.

Speaking of Woj, he claims that the Laker front office is going to take the $23-24m left over after the AD trade and break it apart into contracts for several different players.
Good news is this means no true super-team, especially if AD or LeBron goes down.
Bad news is that it means they are getting smart and will have more depth than if they signed a third star then filled out the bench with ring chasers on minimum deals and various exceptions.

Yeah, I really don't want to see them land Pat Bev and Danny Green, or something like that, but those are the types of players they should be aiming for.

Beverly is being courted by like 6 teams, many of which can offer more than the Lakers.
He is on a “wine me dine me 69 me” tour, enjoying his moment in the sun as a valued FA. I don’t see him taking less to chase a ring.

I kind of would rather them go all out for a max player. Lebron is getting older and AD is good for some vagina soreness throughout the year. I don't see them as a championship threat without any depth.
But I don't want to help them out with getting the cap space either.

About the only faith I have is that Pelinka is an idiot and will find a way to blow things.
He may get some help, too. Supposedly they want to retain Rondo. Problem is that they have no Bird rights on him, so they either have to pay him straight out of cap space or give him a MLE. And I don’t think either pays him as much as he got last season.
Given that he ended up in LA in a hissy fit over us lowballing him in his opinion, I don’t see that going well.

So do we control the lakers draft for the next 7 yrs or not?...i read somewhere where we got 3 first round picks..then on the off years we get the right to swap 1st round picks.......or
All we got was 3 1st round picks?
All we got was 3 1st round picks?

The number 4 this year and two future firsts
Then rights to swap two of the years or can even defer to the next year if we don’t like the position.

Saw AD removed his pelicans stuff from bio on Instagram. Looks like the trade is official.
