Lol GTFO. AD and Cousins do everything for this team. Blame the front office.

because we have the worst fricking coach in the league that thinks it ok for Cousins to take 35 footers all fricking night long

You knew this would happen yet you have the Pels penciled in as a 6th seed

lol

the best 3pt shooter on the team is the center. the best playmaker on the team is the center (Rondo doesnt change that for me). with Rondo out, the best handle on the team is the center. he is also a high volume scorer. and, of course, the best scorer on the team is the pf.

its 2017. there is no way for the offense to ever work if those guys are both sitting in the paint. complaining about them being on the perimeter is so lazy. it's like people didnt actually watch what the Nuggets did last year, yet were still excited about Finch.

Cousins got 12 shots in the paint (8 in the RA) and Davis got 16 (9 in the RA). they didnt finish well for a number of reasons (Grizz can play defense, loose whistles, shot quality, etc). would i like more? of course. it's going to take time because this is such a novel fit.

the problem last night was that things got real stagnant. no one moved, no one cut. it was dump the ball to one guy and watch.

Cousins definitely had a quick trigger on the 3s. he also took 0 mid range shots and had his 12 in the paint. i would like to see the 3ptr closer to about 35%, not 50%, yes. and, ideally, i would rather see him take closer to 15-17 fga/g and look to facilitate more.

but i dont think either one of those things is possible given the lack of playmakers, scoring, and shooting on the perimeter plus Davis needing to get paint touches too. the team has to keep moving all 48 if its going to work

As Antonio Daniels was basically shouting at the screen, that is on the PG.

First off, no one knows who the PG is. Not me, not you, not the players, nor the coaches. If i had to guess, then Cousins is the PG.

Secondly, did you watch the Boston game Teusday night?
Kyle Korver played 7 minutes. He came in and ran around for a 2 or 3 minutes and nothing happened really. Then subs happened and he had to guard Marcus Smmart, who's 3 inches shorter than Korver. Smart immediately clear out one side of the court and demanded the ball in the post, then proceeded to drive and make a layup, next possession drive and get an and 1, next possession drive and get a layup. Then Korver came out the game never to return.

The PG didnt' need to do anything. Smart went to the post and told the other players to get the frick out of the way and demanded the ball. MARCUS SMART!
How often you seen AD do that? How often is AD gaurded by SF's and he never comes close to the post? Don't give me the he's not a good post player. I'm not a good post player. I'm 6', overweight, can't jump anymore, and out of shape, but if even i'm playing basketball and you stick a guy 4 inches shorter than me that is giving up 25+ pounds to me, i will post him up and score and score and score and score until they start doubling or switch defenders. IT's not that hard to score in the post when your taller, stronger, and quicker than the defender when you have AD"s skill set.

Brandan Wright and Chandler Parsons played a stretch of about 6-7 minutes where they guarded Cousins and AD. Every fricking possession should have been to one of them in the post, and we should have either scored or got fouled on just about every possession until we forced them to make a change. That's the only way this team is going to work with two bigs. IF you can't punish other teams for playing smaller weaker defenders on your two supposedly elite bigs, then we won't come close to being a .500 team much less a playoff team.

What bothers me is when I hear this stuff about how Giannis and LeBron and Harden and all these guys who bring the ball up are real superstars and AD isn't.

When you control what happens on offense, directly, without having to rely in a passive guy like Jrue or guys who seem like they don't understand how to do anything but shoot like Crawford or Moore...what else can he do? Pull an Andrew Bynum and shout to the heavens to throw him the effing ball? Some would be in favor of that. But I doubt AD is.

Look at this roster outside of AD and DC.
If AD is legit good, near or top 5 good, all he needs is DC...that should be plenty enough just to get to the playoffs IMO.
