Here’s to finishing out the first half strong and hopefully getting Solo back!

Shocker, but we traded the pick for short term help.

Mirotic has another year on his deal and is only 27 years old. That was a great trade by Demps.

Without counting tonight’s games, there are 4.5 games separating the Spurs at the 3rd seed and the Jazz in the 10th seed.

Son of a bitch 3-4 weeks ago it looked like the Pels were primed to jump into the race for the 3 seed. Now it looks like the deck is stacked against them to even make the playoffs. Time for AD to be a full time superstar.

I think the Jazz make it in and the Blazers and Clippers are watching the playoffs from home.

Great lesson, sad jebus.

Every thing changes.

In the case of bodies playing basketball, there is a lot of data indicating that 6 11" 270 guys get foot issues in NBA.
He has previously had similar issues with the other foot and he's 27.
The bright side is the pels may guarantee a couple years in his next deal. I thought he was surely gone before this.

zach lowe today:

quote:

Recent comments from NBA commissioner Adam Silver about tweaking the league's playoff format drew intense media coverage, but sources say there is also some behind-the-scenes momentum for the idea of a play-in tournament determining the last two seeds in each conference -- to the point that two specific proposals are circulating at the highest levels within teams and the league office.

quote:

The play-in proposal that has generated the most discussion, according to several sources: two four-team tournaments featuring the seventh, eighth, ninth, and 10th seeds in each conference. The seventh seed would host the eighth seed, with the winner of that single game nabbing the seventh spot, sources say. Meanwhile, the ninth seed would host the 10th seed, with the winner of that game facing the loser of the 7-versus-8 matchup for the final playoff spot.

I like that. Only 1 spot actually up for grabs and the loser of the 7/8 seed game has to lose twice to get knocked out which should safe guard against getting knocked out by fluke.

I’m down. I love playoff basketball but i want to see more meaningful games. This does that.

I’d like to see rounds 1 and probably even 2 of the playoffs reduced to best of 5 or even best of 3, it’ll increase the chance of upsets and you will really see players giving stong effort. 7 games series are draining for players (even for me as a fan) but you lose the certainty that the better team will almost always win if you shorten the series

Warriors up 20 on the Clippers early. About damn time they started playing like the champs against the people we need them to beat.

Warriors back up 15 at half and now the Kings have taken a 5 point lead on OKC at the end of the 3rd. Hell yes! Go kings!
