I think he has to be going somewhere. No way OKC is gonna pay the man that much money so he can try and get a triple double every night. I’ve never liked him, a huge stat-padder. It will probably be NY, or somewhere else where the believe that they are one overpayed player away. Can’t really think of any other teams like that right now

Edit: forgot to actually answer question

I think NY is probably a safe bet. Im not sure whats Chicagos cap situation is off hand but I would think they may want a guy because they dont much in terms of stars

Dark horse I would say Cleveland

Westbrook and a couple of those picks for Sexton and Love would make sense for both

I don't think it'll be Miami, only because at least 3 of those 1st rd picks they got from the Clips were actually Miami picks used as trading assets.

It's in OKC's best interests not to make Miami stronger, if you think a Butler & Westbrook tandem do that.

Miami makes some sense given that they're searching for another star. But I'm not sure what assets they have to give up, and I think Russ and Jimmy may murder one another.

The 76ers could possibly pull it off.

Orlando is maybe a possibility. They seem content with being a backend playoff team and have guys like Gordon and Bamba that they could include in a deal.

I hope OKC keeps him ... he will destroy that team now that he knows they don't want him

Time to reunite Westbrook and Durant in Brooklyn. What a show that would be.

Not sure how I feel about this as a Mavs fan. I hate watching Russ play and don’t like his attitude.

That being said, they need a pg. Obviously the Russ contract is ridiculous, but Cuban doesn’t mind paying up. Basketball wise, I think Russ can fit with Luka and KP. They can stagger Luka and Russ minutes, and Luka is capable of playing off the ball when they are on court together. KP and Russ could be a great fit.

I don’t even know what the Mavs have that OKC would want. So basketball wise, I think it could work, but I don’t like the idea of taking the ball out of Luka’s hands that much. Also, I think Russ has too big of an ego to let Luka shine.

There are not enough basketballs in the eastern time zone for Russ and Jimmy.

"Despite two years left on George's deal, he didn't want a trade demand hanging over his franchise."

You mean like how Presti is dealing with this now with Russ?
