I think he does. If anything, I think he'll feel like he has unfinished business here with AD and will want to give it another shot.

Only good news is that Boogie isn't really reliant on his athleticism as much as he is his strength and skills.

He is agile, but he's not a leaper or an above the rim player. Not sure how an Achilles injury will affect him.

Of course he's athletic. I didn't say he wasn't. I said he's not the type of guy to rely on it. He's very skilled and strong. He could hypothetically have a ZBo like impact post injury if he loses some burst.

You'd be more afraid of Davis coming off a torn Achilles than boogie.

Difference in how they play obviously.

He’s massive, which isn’t good. He’ll never be the same player

Yeah, you're just talking shite out of your arse.

I'd bet he comes back, he's going to take some time obviously.

I still think you offer Boogie a max contract and hope for the best

What other options do you have?

You just have to hope he comes back just a strong and can become the dynamic duo with AD that you originally planned for.

If he walks we’ll continue to be a mediocre team and eventually wind up losing or trading AD

When you lose AD, the actual survival of the franchise will be in jeapordy.

This is an absolutely awful night for New Orleans basketball.

Yeah let's compare boogie to two old playwra at the end of this career and a bunch of role players who never had half the talent boogie has

And how could I forget Elton brand

He went from a 20-10-2 guy to a 11-7-1 guy pretty much over night at 28yrs old

Maxing boogie would be a total pels move which would end in disaster like many before under Demps

My argument is that it’s likely a disaster either way you go.

The best shot, IMO, is hoping Boogie overcomes this.

It's too early to decide anything

There's really no precedent for someone coming back strong from an achilles injury, you're right. It's pretty depressing that the Pelicans were finally looking competent and we finally had a second star player and then kicked right in the fricking dick.
