It’s unfortunate, but realistically…the only way we can win a championship in New Orleans is to continue drafting generational talent, and hope to strike gold on multiple while Zion is here. You also have to have the perfect staff in place. Then and only then, will you be able to find the right veteran role players to fill out a championship roster.
The chips aren’t in small market teams favor, and it will take a perfect storm for us to win.
OKC got pretty far, and shite the bed….
Golden State is the only “small market” team to achieve a championship based on drafted players and building out a championship roster with Vets.
Toronto took the risk on a player they knew would not resign with them, and it paid off because they had the front office, coaching, and well developed players they drafted with role playing vets they smartly acquired.
We don’t have the front office or coaching, the recently drafted players show promise….but I still don’t see us being anywhere close to competently competing for championships soon.
I almost would rather use my draft assets on moving up in the draft to find those players that can sustain your team….rather than going all in on established stars.

How do we offer him this money?
Only way to do it is a sign and trade, and Phoenix wouldn't really be thrilled to facilitate that.

Booker requests a trade if they let Chris Paul walk.
Zion and/or Ingram also request a trade if we can’t bring in a star competent on the level of Chris Paul to the team…..hard for us to win honesty.

Phoenix has to agree to a Sign and Trade.

And this only happens if they can’t win with Paul there, and they start to blow things up.

Ball is pretty complimentary of Booker.

I think the only one that we could possibly get is Beal. Ingram and Zion are untouchable, but they can have anything else.

We need to raid the European leagues and stock on players who know how to play the game. Quick drafting these entitled assholes from the US.

Agreed, however, there is still potential to draft quality players instead of trading all of our future picks for another “star” that might not even work out.

DAME DOLLA.
hes big mad at Blazers and they aren't going to win with that roster and need young assets for a rebuild. We got allllll that.
Need to sell dame on a title. Hey dame come play with BI and Zion for the next 5 years, then when you lose a step just be a catch and shoot pg while z and BI are in their prime
