What comes first?
Fire Demps maybe Gentry?
Waiting for the lottery pick?
The Draft?
How do we rebuild when we dont know the concept of the future?

Still have a gut feeling that Gentry has endeared himself to the uppermost management

I wouldn't be surprised if they transition Alvin out as coach and move him into a role within the front office. I actually wouldn't be opposed to this

I’d like to see a slight rebrand to signify a shift from the AD era. The fluer de lis pelican as the primary logo and a switch to black and gold colors would be a great way to announce to the NBA community that a new day has dawned in the house of the rising sun.

Obvious first move is hiring a president of basketball operations to supplant Loomis.
He or she can thien make determinations on Dell, Alvin and the rest of the staff and roster.
Actually I hope the process of identifying and interviewing candidates for that position is already well underway....

Sorry if this seems random, but I have to ask based on your username...
Are you by chance Carrie's brother?

Start with Demps. He’s not a dumb guy, but he hasn’t shown the vision we need. I doubt Gayle will ever completely eliminate Loomis from the picture. He’ll be around as an adviser, if nothing else, but perhaps not in charge of basketball operations. I wouldn’t be so sure that any new management structure is going to be “traditional” or mirror that of other franchises.

Yeah, people don't seem to get that Loomis is a part owner and runs business operations. The business is running great. He isn't to blame for any of this and he isn't going anywhere.
As much as I hate to say it, I think that Demps and Gentry should get another year. Demps has done all the leg work on the Davis trade and will probably get the best value (with league assistance). The draft should be pretty straight forward. The team isn't going to be good, so let Gentry take the loses. Next season should be foundation setting. Then the next summer bring in a new GM and coach to continue the process. Your first duty as a GM shouldn't be trading away the greatest player in your teams history..

I doubt we’ll ever see black and gold as Pelteam colors.
