I don't get how injured players are traded in the NBA. Players used to have to pass a physical before any trade was completed. Now I guess they waive them. It's not a smart idea and people are going to get burned eventually..

That's exactly what happens, the injury was discovered during the Warriors giving him a physical. Unfortunately these physicals usually take place a day or 2 after the trade is agreed to. If the deadline hadn't passed the trade probably would have been changed, but since the deadline had passed you had this situation.

Different teams have different medical staffs and different risk tolerances. IIRC the Pels didn't even go after Philly for trading us an injured Jrue until a few years later. I guess it took them that long to put all the pieces together because you probably don't give incoming players a full body MRI, although maybe they should.

still do.

gsw made deal at deadline.

physical after.

it was a multi team deal with wiseman moved elsewhere.

gsw would be stuck with wiseman if they played hardball. his dump saves gsw 100 million over next 1.5 seasons.

They totally lied about CJ and Nance. I think it's only fair to send a 1st our way.

If they want to send us Dame that would be great too.

League can look into it but I think we were full aware of Nance’s issues before we got him.

That’s why he only cost us a TPE.
