Correct me if I'm wrong, isn't each "point" given for highest total of each category?

So assists are weighted the same as points scored, rebounds, blocks, etc.

no....they are giving a point for each stat accumulated.

So a guy with 30 points, 2 rebs, 1 assist will net your team 33 points. (I am ignoring the aspect of FG made and missed)

and A guy with 12 points, 9 boards, 2 assists, 4 steals, and 2 blocks will net your team 29 points.

I would argue the second guy had a MUCH better game

A player like your talking(In #1) about had this:

12-28 FG 3-5 FTs 28 points 5 rebounds 3 asts 1 stl 2 TOs for a total of 19 fantasy points

That was melo on a typical game for him in december

Player B?

5-11 FG 1-1 FTs 11 points 13 rebs 5 asts 4 blks 1 stl 2 TOs for a total of 26 points

That was draymond in a game against the pels

Draymond had the better night clearly and had more fantasy points by a decent margin.

Can't ignore. Part of the scoring system.

I can when it is a completely made up statistical scenario.

Points leagues are a joke bro

Have you even played one to come up with such a conclusion or are you in here to just shitpost?

I'm not saying one is better than the other(I've played both) but this elitism is absurd.

This scoring system skews it so hard toward scorers and negates the value of hustle stats.

So blocks, steals, and assists are basically worthless in this set up.

What a joke.

I'll list the percentage of fantasy points the following guys that had(of their total) nothing to do with scoring(asts/rebs/blks/stls)

Pau(68.4%)
Deandre(81.8%)
Westbrook(65.4%)
Wall(78.9%)
Bledsoe(71.3%)
Curry(54.9%)
Lilliard(59.7%)
AD(55.6%)
Kyrie(50.8%)
Milsap(67.2%)
Z-Bo(69.2%)
Tyreke(76.2%)
Hayward(59.2%)
Ellis(58.6%)
Butler(53.6%)
Lawson(75%)

There's plenty more I could add but this clearly shows that stats other than scoring points are extremely important.

So Gordon going 1-2 from 3 has the same value as D12 blocking 3 shots?

Nope

Gordon would be docked a point for missing a shot

How many points did Demarr Derozan have last year and how many did Rudy Gobert have?

Rudy Gobert was one of the top scorers in the league. If you're scared to play against me, just say it.

Rudy:17.6 ppg
Derozan:16.4 ppg

for fricks sake, if you don't like our scoring system then don't be in the league. we enjoy it and been doing it this way for the length of the league's existence. the arguing in here is dumb. it ain't that serious
